Programme implementation by GAVI
Immunisation programmes are funded by the International Finance Facility for Immunisation Company (IFFIm) through the GAVI Alliance, an historic alliance of major stakeholders in immunisation. Alliance members include a wide range of development partners: developing country and donor governments, WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, the vaccine industry (from industrialised and developing countries), research and technical agencies, NGOs, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the GAVI Fund – the resource and financing arm of GAVI .

Treasury management by the World Bank
The IFFIm Board has appointed the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) as Treasury Manager for IFFIm. The World Bank has been an investor and issuer in the international capital markets for the past 60 years. The World Bank manages its finances according to conservative policies and standards and will ensure that IFFIm conforms to similar standards. With its triple-A credit rating, experience, and knowledge, the World Bank is well-suited to provide services to IFFIm ranging from market-based financing strategies and funding operations, intermediation of hedge transactions, multi-donor grant and payment tracking, liquidity and investment management, risk monitoring and asset-liability management, and accounting and reporting.
